General Description:
Seeking a motivated and reliable Construction Laborer to join our dynamic team. As a Construction Laborer, you will play a crucial role in supporting various construction projects by performing a range of physical tasks and assisting skilled tradespeople. The ideal candidate is hardworking, safety-conscious, and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment.
Specific Duties:
Assist in the preparation of construction sites by clearing debris, digging trenches, and grading surfaces.
Load and unload construction materials and tools.
Perform various physical tasks, such as carrying and lifting heavy objects.
Operate hand and power tools under the guidance of skilled workers.
Keep construction areas clean and organized.
Expedite materials to/from jobsites
Be aware of the basic safety equipment that is required for you to complete your tasks without injury. Always wear safety glasses when you are doing anything that could cause an injury to your eyes (pretty much all the time). Wear hearing protection if you are operating tools or equipment, or if you are working in the vicinity of loud tools or equipment. Wear work gloves if necessary.
Come prepared for a variety of tasks that may arise throughout the day i.e. inside work, outdoor work, rain, mud, etc.
Always arrive to the jobsite a few minutes early so that you are prepared to start on time.
Always wear work boots, or rubber work boots. The following types of footwear are not acceptable for a construction site: Flip flops, sandals, tennis shoes, sneakers, hiking shoes, cheap rubber boots, cowboy boots, etc. Occasionally it is necessary to have a pair of smooth soled ‘sneakers’ if you will be working for an extended period of time in a finished space. Always remove your outdoor boots before stepping into a finished space of any kind – no exceptions.
